MX-170: Sasha vs Renato

In her first ever competitive mixed wrestling match, Sasha is pitted against an aggressive male newcomer, Renato , in what turns out to be a spectacular battle of the sexes between two lightweights!

Sasha has been improving rapidly since this Summer and this match-up is the result of it. Can she beat Renato, who is eager to make a statement after his devastating loss to Akela in his debut match? Or is it too early for her?

Sasha shows that training and dedication pay off, by winning her first ever real mixed wrestling match in a decisive fashion, scoring 9 points to Renato’s 2. Sasha’s development as a wrestler is one of the main stories of 2019, and this match is its culmination. Sasha’s genuinely joyful reaction to being able to successfully pin down or scissor her male opponent into submission is priceless.

Match outline: introductory interviews, staredown, the match itself (20 minutes), victory pose (facesitting, then foot on face), concluding interviews.

MX-170 is one of this year’s most important MX titles, and a must-must watch for fans of competitive mixed wrestling!

I’m wishing for more reviews, so thought I should lead by example. I purchased this video several years ago and am just now getting around to reviewing it. There is a spoiler alert in description, but I wanted an unbiased approach before watching.
Sasha is definitely not at the top of Fightpulse roster, but she was going against another slightly heavier but inexperienced Renato. To be fair, the first couple of rounds were closer than I expected. Sasha almost had advantage a couple of times, but Renato proved too strong for her. He began round 3 in control again, but seemed to be tiring pretty quickly. Sasha quickly turns the tables and secures a SG pin. Almost pinned in 4th round, she slips out and soon enough locks him in a body scissor. Match squared. Round 5 sees them engaged in duelling scissors. Whose are stronger, and which warrior has better conditioning , endurance or pain threshold? The final 6 rounds see limbs intertwined and quest for control with 1 obvious victor. Renato lacks the endurance and Sasha-having gained confidence-takes it to him the rest of the way, and in dominant fashion. He can’t withstand the pressure of her thighs or tight pins. As the match nears its’ end, Sasha finds her newfound wrestling prowess, and displays a very confident(somewhat cocky) demeanor to score a decisive victory.
