MX-98: Venom vs Luke (Middleweight Tournament #1)

It’s time! We are excited to release the first match of the competitive middleweight 4-person tournament, where our guest from UK, Venom ⓘ, and Luke ⓘ face off in the first semi-final match! You can read more about this mixed tournament as well as watch the introductory video in this blog post. The winner of this match will progress to face the winner of MX-99 Diana vs Viktor (tbr Saturday) in the final match.

This release marks Venom’s long-awaited first appearance at Fight Pulse. She is a phenomenal grappler, and, without a doubt, one of the top 3 wrestlers of our scene today. Venom is unbeaten in the last 2 years, by neither female nor male. This spectacular competitive mixed wrestling match will provide a hint as to why.

MX-98 has the most intense pre-match staredown we’ve ever filmed. Both wrestlers look aggressive and ready to go. The tension seems too much for Luke as he pushes Venom away to start the match before the green light.

The aggression is real. Both wrestlers are determined to win. However, as it turns out, besides being light years ahead of Luke in terms of wrestling skills, Venom is also stronger than him, including in upper body. Luke fights like he has never fought before, but his attempts to gain an advantage are futile, as Venom easily overpowers, pins and submits Luke round after round.

Venom’s sadistic streak becomes obvious early on as she keeps her dominant position after Luke’s submission and pins him down and chokes him with her ankle in an ingenious gogoplata-pin, anxious to assert her superiority over the male. Since this isn’t an onslaught-style video, we had to pause the video at this moment to ask her to keep to the format of the match.

Venom’s tendency to dominate caught us by surprise. She is truly a gentle killer. You would never believe how incredibly physically strong, let alone naturally dominant Venom is when you see her for the first time. This beautiful lady with kind eyes turns into a beast as the fight starts. Unfortunately for Luke, he is but a prey, and Venom makes sure he understands it, often holding onto a dominant position after a pin or a submission. All of this in spite of Luke’s best performance to date!

While having him pinned underneath her in one of the rounds Venom brings up Luke’s predictions that he gave during the introductory interviews (available embedded here). She mentions it again while treading on his face in one of the more painful victory poses we’ve seen.

If you are a fan of real intense mixed wrestling, with the female completely womanhandling the male the entirety of the match, you will absolutely love MX-98!
